The app does not collect any data about you. There is no server, no account and no analytics. Nothing you open in the app ever leaves your device.
This policy covers two separate things, and they are not the same. The app collects nothing at all, which is what the rest of this page is about. This website is ordinary marketing and does measure visits, so that we can tell whether an advert was worth running. Details are in the website section at the bottom.
When you choose a video, Holoport Vision reads it, finds the person in it and turns them into a hologram. All of that processing happens on your Apple Vision Pro using Apple's on-device frameworks. Your video is never transmitted anywhere, and neither is the hologram made from it.
The holograms you create are saved inside the app's own storage on your device, together with the names you give them. They stay there until you delete them or delete the app. Deleting a hologram in the app removes it from the device. We have no copy, because there is nowhere for a copy to go.
Nothing. Specifically, Holoport Vision does not collect or transmit:
The app contains no advertising, no third-party analytics and no tracking of any kind. It makes no network requests in the course of doing its job.
The app asks for permission to read your photo library so that you can pick a video to turn into a hologram. It uses that access only to read the specific item you choose. It does not browse, index, scan or upload your library, and it never writes to it.
Holoport Vision is not directed at children and collects no personal information from anyone, including children under 13.
There are none. Nothing in the app is shared or sold, because nothing is collected. If you install the app through Apple, Apple's own privacy policy governs your relationship with them, including anything you choose to send them such as crash diagnostics.
Everything above describes the app. This website is a different thing, and it is worth being straight about the difference rather than letting one claim cover both.
holoportvision.com uses the Meta pixel, so that when we pay for an advert we can tell whether anyone actually arrived and whether they were interested. It records that a page was viewed, whether the preview video was scrolled to, and whether the App Store button was pressed. Meta receives that as it would for any advertised website, and their own privacy policy governs what they do with it.
The site also uses Inspectlet, which records how a visit moved through the page: scrolling, mouse movement and which things were clicked. It is used to work out where this page is confusing, and nothing more. It does not record anything you type, and there is nothing here to type into.
This is only the marketing site. It has nothing to do with the app, it never sees anything from inside the app, and no video, hologram or anything else from your headset is involved. If you would rather not be measured, a content blocker or your browser's tracking protection will stop it, and the site works exactly the same either way.
If this policy ever changes, the revised version will be posted here with a new date. Any change that involved collecting data would be described plainly and would arrive with an app update you choose to install.
